AirSWIFTÂ Travel Advisory [MMDA implementation of intermittent traffic scheme]
To our valued passengers, please be advised that the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced implementation of intermittent traffic scheme for the entire duration of the FIBA week, from August 25 to August 30. The FIBA games will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Bay City area of Pasay City, the Philippine Arena in Bulacan along the North Luzon Expressway, and the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
With this intermittent traffic scheme, motorists may experience brief stops to allow the passage of FIBA delegates and players. The following areas will be affected:
- Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA)
- Kalayaan Avenue
- Diokno Boulevard
- Roxas Boulevard
- Andrews Avenue
- Sales Road
- other routes to be determined by FIBA.
To ensure a stress-free travel experience, keep in mind that you should arrive at least two hours before your check-in time. We strongly recommend that you plan ahead and allow enough time to get to the airport. We look forward to serve you!
